Bill 168 - Violence and Harassment

Bill 168, An Act to amend the Occupational Health and Safety Act with respect to violence and harassment in the workplace and other matters, came into effect June 15, 2010.  Workplaces in Ontario are now required to have the necessary policies, programs, measures and procedures in place.

To this end, all Ottawa Catholic School Board employees are required to complete a one-time only, on-line workshop.  This interactive workshop, which takes about 15 minutes to complete, will provide the learner with an understanding of the legislation for workplace violence and harassment, the policies and support documents in place to support the legislation, and how the Board implements these policies.

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED THE COURSE THERE IS NO NEED TO REPEAT IT.  THE BOARD REQUIRES THAT ALL EMPLOYEES TAKE THE COURSE ONCE ONLY.
